EPCOT has ties to "Schitt's Creek"!
Catherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy & Martin Short, Oh My!

Ok everyone, hang in here. This might not be news to you, but it certainly was news to me: Moira and Johnny Rose are featured in the Canadian Pavilion at EPCOT! Sort of….
So if like me, you’ve spent the last year looking for any new source of entertainment and have stumbled upon the true Canadian classic that is Schitt’s Creek. Which is why the voices of ICONIC Canadian actors Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy (Moria and Johnny Rose respectively) have been ingrained in your memory. As a proud Canadian, I will say that it is fantastic for these guys to get the global recognition they deserve. Congrats on all the Emmys!
This past week I was listening to YouTuber Paging Mr Morrow’s video: EPCOT Le Cellier Steakhouse Dining 2021. And as he was going through the circle-vision show “Canada: Far and Wide” my ears did a double take!
LOW AND BEHOLD THE VOCAL STYLINGS OF CATHERINE AND EUGENE ARE NARRATING THE DAMN THING! TOGETHER!?!?

As a Canadian, I can safely say that I typically skip Canada when I’m at the world showcase (oops) and so I haven’t been in this attraction for decades (double oops). My only memory of this circle-vision movie is the pre-show featuring another Canadian legend: Martin Short. Which, I feel like, is the case for most people. Martin Short has become the face of Canada, but have we totally neglected the voice?? NO!
In research for this article it was brought to my attention that MARTIN SHORT HAS SINCE BEEN REMOVED FROM THIS ATTRACTION ALL TOGETHER! Today has been a whirlwind.
The Canadian pavilion’s circle vision precious show “O, Canada!” (featuring Short) ran from 2007-2020 and was replaced in January 2020 by “Canada: Far and Wide” (featuring O’Hara and Levy). Right before the pandemic hit, this attraction gets swapped out and it totally flies under my radar!
You better believe when I can finally get my butt down to Florida, I will be giving this show the respect it deserves! All hail our nation’s true leaders: Moira and Johnny Rose!
